Zambia Trip extension ? - May 2022
 

Hi - Hope some of you can quickly suggest what we should do for a last minute extension to our trip to South Africa. After being in SA, end of this April, we are headed to Zambia for 6 nights. We are flying into Livingstone for 2 nights, then we have the choice to do either do 4 nights at a camp in South Luangwa or 2 nights in SL and 2 nights in Lower Zambezi. Camps in Lower Zambezi are just reopening the first week of May, after the rainy season, which is when we would be there. We are mainly interested in doing birding, fishing, boating and walking safari. I have two specific camps that I am interested in checking out. I contacted someone in the travel industry, who thought it would not be good to go to any camps in LZ right now, since they are just reopening the nights we will be there. This is our third trip to Africa. Please let me know your thoughts. We are not sure we need to stay 4 nights in SL. The additional flight costs will not factor into our decision one way or the other.
