We would only be going for about 10 days and we would like to go to the Victoria Falls. Is November a good time to go? Where is a good place to stay around there? What kinds of vaccinations should we have? It's our first time to go. Thanks for all the info.

Hi Mariann, I have been at the following properties: Sussi Lodge, Tongabezi Lodge, Zambezi Sun and the Royal Livingstone. The first two give you more of a bush-camp feel, but they are further from the airport. I prefer them. The units are separate and with thatched roofs and views of the river. The Royal Livingstone is verrrry proper and British-colonial and elegant, and you can see the spray from the Falls from the front lawn. The Zambezi Sun is cheaper, more like a resort you would find in Cancun! Full of families, nice bar, 5 minute walk from the Falls, live bands playing weird Westernised music, motel-style rooms.

Lin -
If they're digital photos, then just upload them to your computer. Then select one of the photo sites: Kodakgallery or Snapfish or another and follow the instructions for creating an album - editing photos, adding captions, reorganizing the order, etc.. If 35mm, and you got CDs along with the negatives and do likewise by uploading the individual CDs to your computer and then going to Kodak or Snapfish. Should there be an easier way... let's hear it from the professionals. For me, it was the first time I posted photos online. A bit confusing at first and I forgot a step or two along the way... eventually, I got the hang of it and you will. Sure it took me about three-weeks to get the entire album finished.... (a long story) Once your photos are in an album on any of these sites, you'll have a link for the album which you can post here for others to access. Give it a try with a few photos and see how it goes. |
Oh! I do know how to put my pix on one of those websites, I just didnt realize that's how people on this forum look at them. Cool I will do that, thanks.

Zambia is definitely on my list, along with Zimbabwe, and I love hearing Roccco's enthusiasm(along with everyone else for all things African). I'm curious as to the couple who are now managing Chichele-is it Rebecca and her husband from Jao? If so, they are wonderful! My husband was quite ill before we arrived at Jao and they took such good care of him and the rest of us-can't say enough good things about them.
