How is Vodka doing?

I spent three wonderful nights at Kasaka last September. It was definitely the right move to retain Hugo & Esther as your management couple.

Is Morat back with Kasaka this year?

What ever happened to Jody Higgins? I thought he may be returning to Kasaka, but that was before Hugo & Esther were retained.

Is Louis still doing the tiger fishing? With his brief training I was able to catch an 11.5 pound tiger fish and looked like an expert by the time I arrived at Chongwe.

Please tell us what is new at Kasaka for the 2006 season.

I would like to point out that South Luangwa will be much warmer than Lower Zambezi, for those of you visiting both parks.

I do think that minimum temperatures in Lower Zambezi for late May will be in the mid to high 40's. For South Luangwa, I would say it will be mid to high 50's minimum. At both places, however, it will be very nice during the daytime.

Hello Rocco.

I am delighted that you had a won derful time at Kasaka.

I agree managing to retain Hugo and Esther was indeed a coup.

Vodka is well .

Morat is back again as a senior guide. He will be joined again by Bert who i think you met.

Louis is again the fishing Guru !

I am not ceretain if Jody is back in the Lower Zambezi this year. I will check and find out.

The new things are exciting. We have built a family home that sleeps 6 and is called the Hippo Pod. It is at the far end of the camp and will also have its own deck, kitchen and when needed private use of a land rover i believe.
We have ordered 2 new land rovers which arrive next week. These will have theatre seating for added comfort. The chalets are all having new bathroom appliances fitted as we speak. Next time you are in the Lower Zambezi please come over and say hello.I think you will be pleased with the upgraded facilitys. We have also bought 1 new boat.
So we have been very buswy in the close season.
