WOW! trip report disappeared!!

I am confounded. I worked hard to leave some good info on my trip report about meandering thru Morocco and had 11 thankful replies...and it vanished.

Am I losing my mind? Wow,that was a lot of work for nothing. I put it up to help others giving the information that I was looking for when I was planning my trip as a way to give back to those who helped me.

Was this an accident or on purpose? Does this happen often?

Too much work to do it again, sorry folks.

Thats ok, more pics and info on our RTW blog about it:

The Morocco trip from Spain starts here and includes Fez,Merzouga,Quazazate area,Marrakech and Essouria:

Don't worry-it's saved! Check out thread "what happended to the word wrap?"

WTnow May 2nd, 2007 01:42 PM

Whew! Thanks moremiles! I am not sure what the next step is or how to start again so it has the right kind of title.

Leely May 2nd, 2007 01:52 PM

I almost reposted it with spaces in the title, but I thought that would be a little presumptuous. Came back from lunch and it's gone.

Maybe Katie can explain how to retrieve it, as well as the comments and answers you provided to Fodorites' questions...?

WTnow May 2nd, 2007 02:19 PM

That would have been OK with me, Leely.

It was a shock to see it gone. There were some posts on there that I did not have a chance to read yet. Hope they are saved too and the whole thread.

It is almost 12:30 am here, so I may have to resolve this tomorrow as I am getting really sleepy and would have been in bed...except for this surprise.

maybe my message to the Fodors gods did something?

321go May 2nd, 2007 02:55 PM

WTnow, try emailing [email protected]. I'm sure Katie can either get it reposted or tell you how to do it.

Love your pics, by the way. :-)

Momliz May 2nd, 2007 02:56 PM

I just emailed Fodors, will post any reply.

WTnow May 2nd, 2007 10:13 PM

I did hear from Kate last night ( my time) on the Spain thread ( had Fodorite friends there that helped with the Morocco planning) and sent her my email address.

So now it is morning here and very late night there, but I have not heard anything back yet.

Hopefully we will get it resolved today.

Thanks for your help everyone!

Glad you liked the pics 321go, there are lots more to come. Morocco is worth seeing for the endless photo opportunities alone. It is the most image rich place I have ever been to.

I am challenged by no more than 12 picures per entry because there are so many nice ones. Editing and deciding on which pictures is the hardest part of the blog.

I posted this reply on the other thread but thought it might also be useful here.

A tip perhaps for those writing trip reports. Write it on you PC/Mac in a word processing program and save it. And edit it and spell check it. When ready for your friends here on Fodors, copy and past it in.
Obviously you still have the original no matter Fodors. And on a couple times I have emailed it to someone or printed it out for someone.

regards - tom

Thanks Tom, I saw it there, but it is a good one to repeat.

I actually have mine on another program because most of it is from my blog.

I mainly just wrote an intro here and answered peoples questions and left the URLs of where we stayed ( following up on an earlier post with mini reviews of each).

I have about 20 blog entries with photos ( and later video) of Morocco ( still not all uploaded, but they are written) on Morocco that anyone can print up if it would be helpful to them.
