Nelspruit to Hazyview and Kruger will be just fine. But are you really meaning Cape Town to Victoria Falls? That's more than 2500 km and it would take about 3 days of driving. Did you mean something else?

Just avoid driving at night on those secondary roads - lots of wildlife and livestock on the roads. Stay alert for children walking to/from school, there are no sidewalks.

Fly from Cape Town to VF. I'm not even sure you can take a rental car to Zim or Zam without a significant upcharge. I'm not sure why you would want to - it's really far!
