Awesome pics Jed, thanks!

Namibia looks so beautiful and fun!

I want to go just to have an excuse to say Sossusvei and Okaukuejo and Ondundozanananandana!!

Jed Nov 25th, 2007 05:45 AM

Gezundheit.

Actually, Sossusvlei is the fifth picture. It is the whitish-tan area, which is the dried up remnant of a lake. ((*))

Beautiful dunes! Here are some ?s for you.

What time of year did you go?
How long did you spend in dune territory?
Where did you stay?

tinlizzy2 Nov 25th, 2007 08:13 AM

Yes! Yes! Tell us more! Did you hit Etosha NP or Walvis Bay?

I've read great things about the Cardboard Box tours (goggles included!) to the dunes. Did you sandboard- which I read is hard or slide down on a piece of cardboard on your belly? (That would be my pick :))

Here's Jed's trip report http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35086423

tinlizzy2,
Cardboard Box is a booking agent based in Windhoek. All tours are offered by different operators.

Thanks Patty- I love trip reports! Accurate ones especially - thanks for the redirection about Cardboard Box.

Great trip report Jed.
