Which way is best?

9 of us will be going to Cape Town in October for a mission trip. I'm curious as to the better route to get there, in your opinions! From GRR, Delta goes through ATL, then to CPT. UAL goes through Chicago and Frankfurt, Germany, with some also going through London. Are there any advantages to either airline, whether leg room, etc? I usually fly UAL domestically, and to Hawaii a couple times on the 777, and was quite comfy. How about other airlines? Also, any advice for discount sites to South Africa, other than Orbitz, Kayak, etc? Any help or input would be appreciated.

The SAA flight from Atlanta will stop in Il Da Sol, terminating in Johannesburg, you'll need to board another plane from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

I would look at a flight via Europe that then goes direct to Cape Town.
Can't help with costs, however other savvy travellers have mentioned that Premier Tours in Phila has great fares.
