Which Sound & Light shows to see while in Egypt

My husband and I will be touring Egypt in May. We've already booked the Philae sound and light show. We have the opportunity to book sound and light shows at the Pyramids and the Karnak Temple Complex. I've read good reviews about the Giza and Karnak shows but think that 3 light shows are more than we really need.

Sorry--it posted before I was ready---
To repeat:
My husband and I will be touring Egypt in May. The Philae sound and light show is included in our trip. Optional tours include the sound and light shows at the Pyramids and the Karnak Temple Complex. I've read good reviews about the Giza and Karnak shows but think that 3 light shows are more than we really need.
What are the suggestions of those who have seen the shows. Are all 3 different enough to be enjoyed?
We did see the sound & light show at the Acropolis while in Athens and did not enjoy the presentation--poor sound, and it seemed they sacrificed history for drama.

Honestly, I think if you see 1 show that will be plenty. I saw the one in Luxor at Karnak in November and it was okay but like the shows in Greece, history was sacrificed for drama IMHO. Enjoy your trip!!

We saw the karnak one and the giza one. Preferred the one at giza. It did cover the history and the lighting was better. The one at karnak you get to walk through the ruins but then have to sit on these benches and listen to the longest boring story with the same things lighting up again and again...i'd stick with giza. did not see the one at Philae...

I would say one is enough. We went to Giza and I was not impressed, but I am glad that we went for the experience.

Ditto to Philbill. We went to Giza. After seeing it... we would not go again, if we had anything else remotely interesting to do. We were very disappointed.

I saw the one at Giza as well and was not impressed either. I didn't see any of the others so I can't compare it.

One of the guides I spoke to said the show at Abu Simbel which used lasers was the best one.

The one at Giza just seemed very dated to me. The sound and light were both pretty poor. I would stick to seeing the Sphinx and the Pyramids in the day.

I just returned on Friday from my tour. We saw the Sound and Light show at Karnak. It was nice. Our guide said she preferred the one at Giza. I would think one show is more than enough.

I disagree. I truly enjoyed the one at Giza. Tears came to my eyes because I lifelong dream had been fulfilled. I focused on the sight before me and savoured every moment.

Also know that for the show in Karnak you wander around in the dark. True you are part of a large group but its crowded and you cannot see where you are stepping. The ground is uneven and I did fall....and got pretty skinned up. And I also agree about sitting on those hard benches!!! It was NOT my favorite evening needless to say!
