We are going to travel South Africa: Gauteng, Mpumalanga , Limopopo as well all North West.
I know we have to drive a lot of gravel roads in rural areas.
Which rental company provides a spare wheel?
It makes me nervous to drive knowingly there is no spare.
As selfdrive tourists one has EVERYTHING on board. And I don't like the idea of getting stranded somewhere because of a puncture. To me that idea is horrific.

Seeing how no one else wishes to help the Jester. Contact Mark at Bushlore and tell him what you need. They have cars, 4x4s and campers. So a little old extra tire shouldn't be a big deal. I think you should also get super cover insurance, considering the quality of roads.

I have booked with "just done it" http://www.justdoneit.co.za/ They provide a Landrover defender with 2 spare.
Super cover will be granted via credit card payment. But that's a must - I agree!

Good luck with that. I know of a lot of people that have complaints about their vehicles. Even a friend!! of the owner returned a 4x4 and rented from another company.
