P.S. Good Earth said they do not require any insurance.
|
KRNS - Good Earth might not require insurance (most surprising and personally not very responsible), but you might!
While one might not wish to purchase a Comprehensive policy that includes cancel and interruption and pre-existing conditions, there are policies for medical and evacuation only (very reasonable premiums). It's up to you whether you wish to be away from home, if illness or accident happen and not have the means to handle care (medical bills, hospital stay and evacuation), if needed. |
anitas,
brandywine is correct. With Freestyle you can only add the cancel for work reasons benefit. Freestyle Luxe is the one where you can add cancel for any reason but it's too late for you as you paid your deposit 6 months ago. I've also never been asked to produce evidence of any kind of insurance. Some East African ground operators will include Flying Doctors membership which provides evac to Nairobi. |
Thanks for all your replies. I went back and read about the CSA Travel Protection Freestyle. In the catagory of Pre-Existing Waiver it says:
If purchased prior to or within 24 hours of Final Trip Payment. Which we have not done yet. We have only made a deposit. I will call and ask questions again. I agree I couldn't find a Cancel for any reason clause. My main concern are my parents are edlery and If something happened to them I might need to cancel my trip. |
