What tour operators to get quotes from

I have finally found a trip that I like to Botswana including Victoria Falls. It is a fairly typical trip but has the type of lodges that we want. The trip is from http://www.naturexp.com/. I have read on this board that scheduling the trip on your own often is the same price but may give you additional options. These are my questions:
1. What tour operators should I contact
2. Do I tell them this is the trip I am looking at and ask them to give me their price
3. This trip appears to cover everything except our international travel.
4. We are looking to go in late June ,to take advantage of the somewhat lower prices but a lot of that will depend on when I can get the airline, since I am using miles to fly business class.
5. We will add Cape Town on our own either at the beginning or the end probably depending on the airline situation.
Any suggestions will be helpful. By the way this is for 2007.

1. Here are some that have been used successfully for Botswana by Fodorites, though this is not all inclusive.

Africa Adventure
Eyes on Africa
Fish Eagle
Go2Africa
Taga

2. I would show the agent the itinerary. There is the tactic of not making them aware of the NEI price up front. In that case you could just give them the camps.

3. Yes the NEI trip does cover everything you can expect.

4. That is a plus for designing your own trip. Even it is a bit more expensive, your own departure dates will allow the FF miles. A set departure may not permit the use of your FF miles, suddenly making the group trip more expensive overall.

5. No Cape Town knowlege, but it sounds like a good plan.

Good luck.

You can also talk to Rocco on this board. He and Julian are as good with information as any Africa specialist you can hope to find. Great service, instant replies to your questions.

So, i say, Destiny Africa......
