Gorilla trekking feedback with Gorilla expeditions

I've written this recommendation to share with other internet users.

"it was july 2012 when I had my vacation to Uganda and Rwanda , I used a local travel agency here in Australia through Clifton from Travel managers to arrange my vacation to Uganda, it was by surprise that Clifton chose /subcontracted to work with a local company based in Uganda called Gorilla expeditions it was a 8 days trip highlighting gorilla and chimp trekking +wildlife , jackson was my guide sure I had a wonderful guide on my tour of Uganda, he took me off the beaten track and went out of his way when I wanted to visit a church and school friends in Australia wanted me to do. I met his Mum and we had the best time, I was on the tour just he and me. It was very special and we have remained friends and keep in touch. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to tour Uganada....and, I saw the gorillas. I will return to do another tour or if not to visit Jacakson as I now have a World Vision child in the north of Uganda (kitgum) who I would like to visit. We saw so much in the week I was there and wonderful game in Queen Elizabeth National Park, my guide spotted the lion and cubs and we watched till night fall, we had the whole spectacle on our own, it was magic. Loved Murchison Falls and the area, the beautiful countryside where we went into the villages and met lots of locals, a memorable holiday - which was all due to gorilla expeditions. In case any one else is interested, I have attached to link to his company’s website: www.gorillaexpeditions.com ."

I also had trouble with getting a safari company until i visit Bwindi website, http://www.bwindiforestnationalpark....companies.html After writing to about 5 companies on that list, i ended up with Insight Safari Holidays, i had such a wonderful experience with them, particularly Nasser their guide would stop on the way to allow us take photos, considering that this was a photo safari. Calah the manager cared so much to get us the most suitable gorilla family Rushegura since we are not so young! What else? yeah, the vehicle was comfortable and it moved at moderate speed while allowing us to look around. I have no problem recommending Insight Safari Holidays, website, www.insightsafariholidays.com

Can't tell you about Inspired Challenge, but I got back last month from a full trip to include Rwanda trekking and Kenya which I booked through Born Free Safaris. They can arrange gorilla trekking in Uganda and set you up for Kenya. They are really good to work with and can tailor an itinerary for you.

Many good reviews of Primate Watch Safaris and Churchills Safaris have been posted here and under Uganda. I've worked with both companies and recommend either as very good, responsive and experienced with gorilla trekking in both countries. They are both Uganda-based but work in both countries.

I am talking to Gorilla Safari Company. Donna is helping me. She is very nice and has trekked in many of the places my wife and I wish to go. In particular, Donna is recommending 3 nights at the Gorilla View Lodge near the entrance to Rwanda's National Parc des Volcans. We then go on to Kenya and Tanzania for a total of 18-19 days and nights. No money has changed hands as yet. Anyone aware of this company? Thanks!

Volcanoes is fantastic. But I have no problem with the other groups.

So great to be back on this board after all these years
