weight limits

Leaving for Kwando and Kwara in 3 weeks, I can take 12 kg (26 lbs) as main luggage.
How many kg can I take as "carry on" luggage?

Thanks

The light aircraft luggage limits in Botswana should cover main and hand baggage.

If the plane is full you will see why since it's all for safety reasons. If the plane is not full it will feel very odd.

If you ever need to get round this restrictive amount you can pay for an extra seat in the light aircraft and have pretty much unlimited allowance. Also, Wilderness Safaris are now offering 20kg as standard when using just their camps and flights between with Sefofane 'their' air transfer company.

Richard,

This time I will be traveling solo so keeping it below 12 kg will be difficult.

Maybe I should buy something like "the vest".

Thanks Steve

Given the cost of safari camps in Botswana, additional seats on light aircraft are comparatively inexpensive. See what you are quoted then decide.
