Weather In the Cape Jan-Feb
I am thinking of spending a couple of months in Port Elizabeth - Cape Town in Jan-Feb 2006. Hotels I am considering (with Saga - I am over 60) dont have aircon. Question - is it likely to get too hot (over 30C)? Average max is 25-26C, but how much does this vary? How hot did it get last year? Just spent 2 weeks in Majorca over 30C without aircon and my wife was unhappy. Any advice?

You can find comprehensive temperature and rainfall data (culled from the SA Weather Service) at the 1stweather site.
Start at http://www.1stweather.com/regional/c..._climate.shtml.
Then from the menus on the lhs go to SA REGIONAL/Data archives and then Temperature data. Select CT (obviously!) and "all daily temperature vatiables". The data only goes up to 2002, but goes way back.

Just realised you also said PE. That's also on the menu.
