Washcloths/sponges?

We're in the final preparations for what we'll pack on our upcoming trip to Egypt. We'll be staying at the Cairo Marriot, Movenpick in Aswan, and the Nile Palace in Luxor. Should we pack our bath sponges, or do they supply face/wash cloths?

I stayed at the Nile Palace in Luxor and there were plenty of face clothes (also at Mena House and Old Cataract) - seems universal at that level?

Have fun!

For the cost of a 6/pk of face cloths, I always pack my own just in case these aren't provided (then leave them behind). Though as commented above, most hotels 4* & up, do. If a Nile Cruise though, these may not be.

I think it's hit or miss. We stayed in many 4-5* places that didn't have them. But maybe things are different now.

As sandi suggested - I usually took a couple of throw-away ones with me and I always had a couple of packages of the pre-moistened face wipes.

You can get them in Egypt if you have to, but it will take time to find the right store. If you have the suitcase space, I'd bring some cheap ones with you.

There are two Marriotts in Cairo. The Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino is a deluxe hotel. Not only did they have wash cloths, they also provided a complementary bottle of water. Our room had a tea pot, q-tips and bath salts in the bathroom, they'll clean your shoes, extra pillows...we requested bathrobes... need I continue? The buffet breakfast in the Omar restaurant was beyond one's imagination... that included steak, freshly made falafel(by the omelet station), german pretzels(if you don't see them by the bread request one), and a sushi station.
