Walking Safri recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good park or good Safari operator to do a walking safari in or with? I'd like to do a two night walking safri in Kenya or Tanzania in September.

I know Masai Mara is a great park to go to at this time of year, but can you do walking safaris there?

I believe that you have to be outside the parks to do walking and night drives in Tanzania and Kenya. We didn't know about this when we booked our trip, but once we were there we found that we could have done these things at Oliver's Camp outside Tarangire NP and Klien's Camp outside Serengeti, check for other places like Lewa Downs in Kenya, probably places near Mara also.

The Tanzanian-based safari operator we used for our trip to Kenya/Tanzania in September conducts walking safaris. I really didn't look into doing that, but you may want to check with them. E-mail address is: [email protected].
Their website is www.roysafaris.com I used them and a friend of mine used them for her trip and both of us were very pleased with their prices and customer service. Good luck.
