Visas?

My wife has British & Canadian passports and I am a US citizen. We will be visiting three ports in Egypt on a cruise later this year. One of the ports we will be overnighting on board. The other two are just day visits. We have visited the Eygptian Home Page where it says if you arrive by cruise ship and stay less than three days you do not need a Visa. Can anyone confirm this?
