Vic Falls

We have just returned from Botswana and Vic Falls (Zim and Zam). This post is to encourage tourists to enjoy the Falls (late Aug. was ideal viewing), truly one of the natural wonders of the world.
More than a one night stay is a must, and the Zimbabwe side is the bulk of the Falls, although both sides should be seen. We took a "taxi" from Ilala Hotel to the Zambian side for $20, including wait time and shopping time. Zambian visa was $10 and Falls entrance $10--not excessive for a complete experience of the Falls.
Shopping is a dream on both sides of the Falls. Do not be afraid of the street vendors--I found all to be considerate, although persistent, polite and easy to bargain with. Their wares are excellent and interacting with them is fun.
Travel agencies booking to the Zambian side only and excessively scaring their clients are doing a disservice to the people of Zim/Zam and tourism in general.
