Please post your photos - everyone. Some of us really enjoy them and would never be rude and critical. If I can't travel to Africa as often as I want, at least let me travel with everyone else through their trip reports and photos.

Hi Pixel,
You mention this is one of Johan's best series ........ it's hard for me to pick a favourite as everyone of the series I have seen is brilliant!!!!
Anyways, the one pic of his that will always stand out in my mind is his pic of a wild dog just about to pounce on an impala. This is forever etched in my mind, as I have seen the print version of the pic in his album at Lebala many times.
I think you will agree with me, that the main reason that this thread has spiralled this way is possibly a combination of jealousy and/or political motives!!!
Cheers
Hari

Hey Hari,
I couldn't agree more!
My favourite is the male lion on the little hill, with sunrise behind him and fog beneath him. That pic is pure magic, and belongs in NatGeo, no discussion about it.
And very close is the bloody face of Silver-eye looking straight at you. This one I regularly put as desktop background, when I need some quiet time (to work alone and not get too many visitors at my desk)
Ciao,
J.

I put them back on line not to receive the "whaahs" but just to enjoy them.

Thankyou, Johan for putting them back up - they are absolutely incredible!!!!
My favorite was the lion on the hill, wow!
What is the little animal in the picture that is about 13 down? Looks like a small squirrel of some sort, and where was it?

I am very happy that you re-posted Johan as I always enjoy your photos. That line of elephants (about 1/2 way through #49?) looked VERY familiar
And of course, the last photo of Paul is very special. The lion cub in the mom's mouth made me smile. Thank you! <)

Wonderful series, I am glad to have been able to view them. There are too many to pick all my favorites but the lion stalking the buffalo, lion on the termite mound and leap frogging lechwe really stand out. I refuse to comment on the leopard drinking as I have yet to get anything close to that

Eric

Johan,
Thanks for sharing with everyone, all of your pictures are better then the BBC WPTY winner!
Wow sniktawk, you are one sick dude (or dudette) you seem to be conflicted.

I'd also like to say thanks for posting the link.
Your photos are breathtaking!!
The elephants shots are beautiful!
I especially love all the different shots of animals near or in the water with their reflections!
And the giraffe silhouette is brilliant!
Lion on the hill is particularly gorgeous!
I could go on and on!
Great job and thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed seeing your images, Johan. Thanks for posting them. I think it would be easier for me to choose my least favorites than it would be to list all of them that I like. I'm quite jealous of all that you've seen and photographed.

Ted,
Thank you for your sound judgement on my opinion!
I have no conflicts I have an opinion that you disagree with, this is hardly new! My opinions are based on my own views, not those which otheres tell me I should have!
To clarify your lack of understanding I am neither a dude or a dudette.
