Vaccination Tip! TwinRix & others

Dependent on what vaccinations (Yellow Fever, Hep A & B/TwinRix) you decide to receive for any trips, check out your city's public health department rather than a private Travel & Immunization Clinic. It was definitely nice to get the private clinic's consultation (for which I was charged) but guess that you could get same information at the public health dept for no consulation fee. Also, compare vaccination prices at the health clinic vs the private clinics.

I rec'd my first vaccine (you need 3) for TwinRix at a private clinic which charged $140 per shot ($420 total) and just found out the govt is only charging $20 per shot ($60 total) right now as a special. Apparently, once they get low on the vaccine, it will go back to its regular cost of $75.
