Hi Star! Thanks for responding. I'm going to call her back tomorrow and tell her to go ahead. She's willing to give it a go, she just said let's wait to see if I hear from Barry in the morning.

As always, thanks you all!

Dennis - I'm trying to work up a big cry for you, but 60-degree temps happen to be about my favorite. Sorry, pal! ;-)

My bank insists on having a street address also. They told me they will wire it without a street address but they will not guarantee the funds if the money ends up lost or at the wrong bank. If I furnish a street address, they guarantee my money. I'm not much of a gambler with my safari money so I will go to the trouble of getting the bank's address. (This only applies to foreign wires with my bank. Wires within the US don't need street addresses.)

If you haven't worked it out in day or so I can refer you to a world bank representative in Nygeria. He is actually a Prince of the Nigerian Royal Family but is now living in Malaysia. He has a very large fortune with him from Nygeria but can not himself cash it in nor deposit it since he is in Malaysia. He can however cash in bank services like bank cashier checks. This allows him to recover more than 300% of that amount tied up in the fortune he has. All you have to do is send him your banks cashier check and he will return to you that amount PLUS another 100% of that amount. Yes, you double your money. He will then wire that amount you sent him on to the bank in Lusaka. Lusaka gets their money, you get the same amount back and the Prince sells off some of the fortune. Let me know if you want more details.
Regards - Cary999
ps - I have not personally tried his services

cary999,

You are talking small potatos...I am currently in e-mail correspondence with a member of some Nigerian government official or other that is going to split a $100 million fortune with me, just so that I step forward and claim to be the next of kin. No matter that I am not Nigerian, I have been promised my $50 million fortune! Along with all the other Nigerian e-mails in my collection, I do hope that I will be able to appear on the Forbes 400 list by this time next year, although, unfortunately you may not recognize me up there since I will have adopted a Nigerian name!

Actually the requirement for a physical (street) address is part of the new anti-terrorist/Homeland Security laws. Before this, no bank ever asked for a street address, or implied that your payment would go lost if you didn't supply a street address. It is a wire/computer based system after all!!

However, the bank could get in serious trouble with the government if they don't have this address. that is why they are refusing to send without one. However in Zambia, they don't actually have street addresses in many towns! (In Lusaka they do.) I'd use the street name of the main office of the bank, and just tell your bank that they don't use numbers in Zambia. But Sandi is right-- in most cases your bank just wants something, anything, to fill in on that line.
