Update on sim cards and iphones in Morocco?

Hello. Does anyone have an update on whether one can buy and use a sim card in an American iphone (mine is ATT 5s) in Morocco? Last posting was in 2016 and was an "I guess..."

Thanks so much to anyone who knows anything!

Needs to be unlocked. If so, yes.

You can use this phone only you need to unlock the phone from any mobile store.

It is possible but a bit complicated. If you are comfortable with internet you can do it yourself.

First thing to do is to get in touch with your phone company and ask them to do it. They should be able to do it remotely.

Else, many websites propose unlocking Iphones. I don't know if it's legal, but yeah...it's possible.

If you think you can't handle it yourself, better place to find experts that will do it for you in Morocco are in Casablanca in a place named "Derb Ghellef". But It's highly recommended that you find a Moroccan that can bring the phone for you and do the job. Else it's a way difficult to be noticed their as a tourist as many non honest people are over there.

I hope you will find a way to unlock your mobile and use simcards as you wish
