Hi Greendrake,
Happy to note another fellow runner!!! Hari |
Hari - I see from previous posts you have run Boston. I live there and the Newton Hills are one of my favorite training runs. If you come here to run Boston and need a place to stay just let me know. You are more than welcome to stay at my place.
I am just about to go off on a my last run for a couple of weeks as I fly out in about 10 hours for an 11 day trip to the North and South Luangwa Parks. |
Thanks for the offer Greendrake, very kind of you.
Have a good run, and enjoy your safari.....will look forward to your trip report after you rest and recover.... Hari |
Green Drake~Have a great time on your safari. Report back when you return, anxious to hear about North Luangwa. Travel safe!

Hi Dennis,
Isnt your trip round teh corner? Hari |
Green Drake,
Have a wonderful time...looking forward to hearing all about your South Luangwa and, especially, North Luangwa experiences! |
Hari, Dennis - thanks guys. Will post a full report upon my return.
If I recall Dennis you will be leaving in a few short weeks to Zim and Zambia. Have a great trip and will look forward to your report. |
Roccco - thanks. Your insights on camps and logistics Zambia are much appreciated.

I'm certainly not a runner, but I'm used to walking a lot, and am wondering how I'll feel without the option to freely walk as much as I'm used to. I probably would never have thought to specifically ask the camp staff for an escort.
Coincidentally, my workplace is running an exercise incentive program to encourage people to walk during the month of October, and you qualify for extra prizes if you walk with a partner. I have visions of trying to claim extra 'points' for walking with a Maasai warrior. |
Hello,
I've never had a leopard in my tent, but there was a mother leopard that became very fond of sleeping on the couches on the deck of Bateleur Camp at Londoz. The staff used to come in to find that the cubs had left fur dirty paw prints all over the sofas. Cheers, Julian |
