Unmarried couples and gays in Morocco

I heard that unmarried sex and homosexuality are both illegal in Morocco. So, my two questions are:

What about an unmarried couple sharing a double room in a hotel? Possible or not?

What about two gays sharing a double room in a hotel (if they are discreet)? Is it possible that two men share a hotel room?

Thank your for your insights.

Both situations are OK.

Sallam 'lekum traveller1959,

With regards to getting a hotel room for the night, we have found that an unmarried "Western" heterosexual couple will have no problems; an unmarried "Western-Moroccan" heterosexual couple will encounter problems; a "Western" gay couple may encounter problems in some of the more conservative (usually the cheap/local) accommodations...keep it discreet and there probably won't be a problem; a "Western-Moroccan" gay couple will encounter problems.
Regards,
Darren Humphrys

hey, since you are a traveler no body cares and in Tourism industry they tolerate customers differences, it's true that's illegal for Moroccan citizens.but for tourism nothing to worry about
