is the new regs in effect for flights from USA to UK?
Arew they now allowing hand luggage albeit in a smaller bag? The new regs deal with flights from UK airports or connecting at UK airports for onward flights. Flights going TO the UK have not been subject to UK carryon rules; only the "no liquids" rules have been enforced. The exception was British Airways, who on their own initiative required that THEIR flights from the US to the UK use the same rules as outbound UK flights, i.e., no carryon bags except travel documents, a wallet, etc. This apparently is now lifted. Still no liquids to or from the UK, and carryons FROM the UK must have (arbitrarily) smaller dimensions than previously approved by the airlines. Buy Samsonite stock. |
