Dubai / UAE Visa requirements - US citizen
I'm seeing conflicting information on-line about visa requirements. I will be in Dubai (in transit to India) for about 36 hours. The UAE embassy web site suggests that I do not need any Visa.however the Dubai Visa Processing Center says I do - does anyone no for sure?

Not sure, but believe US passport holders do NOT require Visa for a short stay, though not certain exact # of hours. Suggest you contact the Embassy direct for correct info.

I've gone thru many times, visa is upon arrival with no fee, just present your passport.

That "processing center" is probably a commercial operation in search of revenue.
