U.S. State Dept. lifts travel warning for Syria

Travel warning lifted but sanctions still in place. Maybe more Americans will visit - many, many Europeans were there last year.

I'm glad to hear this, I would like to visit Syria someday. The warning did not stop me, I just haven't got around to Syria yet. Someday.

Same here. The removal of the warning does raise Syria a couple notches on my list, but I have no definite dates in mind yet.
