Trip report: Kgalagadi and Kruger Parks, South Africa, Oct/Nov 2013

This was a mostly self-drive trip, and not our first to South Africa (first time in Kgalagadi though). We saw over 100 lion, 14 cheetah, 9 leopards, 4 african wild cat, 2 blackfooted cat, and 55 wild dogs in 5 weeks.

Blackfooted cat--was that a first for you? How cool you were part of the research team who worked with them. Black footed or not, they all hate that carrier!

Lynn- first time for blackfooted cat in Africa, have seen them in zoos before. As both we saw were radio collared, it's still not the same as a "wild" sighting!
