Just read (most of it anyway) your trip report. It's a few years old and I wonder if anything has changed. Great pictures.

I also looked at your report on your 4 day trip to NYC in 1995. Since I'm a native, I found it interesting and funny that you said that Times Square is not the romantic place depicted in movies. Romantic? Ha. Never was and still isn't. Yes, when you went there were still porn shops, but now it's Disneyland. I don't know which is worse, although it's safer now.

Thanks Diane ... I suspect the problems in Syria must have had some impact on Jordan. When we were there Syria was a popular (and safe) tourist destination; in fact, we met a British couple in Wadi Rum (Jordan) who had a rental car they'd driven down through Syria! They raved about Syria ... can't imagine that today.
