Travelling with Kids

We are a family of 4 with two blond boys aged 2 and 4. We live in Portugal and would love to do a trip with our Land Rover to Morocco (3 weeks).

As we canīt do it on our own because there is nobody to take care of the kids we have to take them with us.

Can anybody advise us on how to travel in this country with them? Our main concern obviously is their safety and well being.

Thanks
Ulrico

Two blonde women spent two weeks traveling around Morocco, on our own, and had no trouble whatsoever.

Many people speak English; the northern part of the country speaks Spanish, the southern speaks French. Berber and Arabic are also spoken. Be sure the kids have your names, and the hotel address, on them; running off in the local grocery store is bad enough, running off in the medina would be unbelievable.

We ate all sorts of food, and had no problems; we did drink bottled water. In restaurants, we drank Coke with ice with no dire effects.

The medinas are pretty grubby; carry WetWipes for hands and faces. In the U.S. we have disinfectant wipes (Clorox makes them), which I would recommend for the public toilets (those in restaurants, hotels, etc. are fine; train stations, service stations - dicey).

They should do just fine (and what a wonderful adventure!).
