Travelling from List B country with a stopover in List A

Hello!

I am traveling with business from Lithuania (List B) with a 2-day stopover in Brussels (List A) to Marrakesh end of June. I wonder what rules will apply to me upon entry - List A or List B country? When I bought my tickets, I only needed a PCR test done within 72 hours upon arrival. Now the rules seem to have changed and I'll need a test done within 48 hours.

Besides that, what worries me is that it now says that travelers from List B will now also need to have a special authorization form and undergo a 10-day quarantine in one of the hotels chosen by the government!! This would really mess up my plans because I only planned to stay for 14 days.

Does anybody know if this will apply to me since I am technically arriving from List A country? The plane tickets are bought separately and not linked (except that they are both Ryanair) but I hold a Lithuanian passport.

Any information would be super helpful so I can take the necessary arrangements 🙏🏻

I have no idea what the "technical" situation is, but since you reside in, and will be only two days out from, a List B country, isn't the "morally" correct thing for you to follow the requirements for a List B country?

You need to take expert advice on this, not rely on what someone guesses on a travel forum. That said, I don’t think a two day layover in an A List country would qualify you to be considered to have travelled from that country. I don’t know about Morocco, but when entering the UK, immigration authorities look at where you have been in the last 10 days.

Post your questions on FlyerTalk. There are many members there who have paid access to Timatic and will be able to give you specific information. Timatic is the sites the airlines use to determine if you would even be allowed to board your first flight and what if any limitations you'd have entering Belgium.
