traveling by car

Planning to visit Turkey in late October. Comments I've read suggest Cappadocia shouldn't be missed. Had planned to spend time on the coast after Istanbul. But now wondering if I can add Cappadocia within a week-and-a-half visit. Prefer driving countries I visit in a rental car. Queston: is there a reasonable way to combine Istanbul, Cappadocia and, say, Fethiye

Short answer. No.
I just returned from a two week stay (including travel time).
If you try to cram in too much you will be very sorry. The number one rule about Turks is they like to hang out, and they love to talk to Americans.
Istanbul requires five full days. Cappadocia is three full days and you need a car (driving there is easy - clearer road signs than you can find in New Jersey)
I did day trips from Istanbul to Bursa, and the Princess islands.

Best trip of my life
