Tranzania travel in February

Is the quality of wildlife viewing on Safari in month of February significantly different as compared to June/July? Is difference in travel time of year mostly for traveler's comfort? I live in tropical climate in US. So 90-95 degree days are the norm for me.

February is peak season in Tanzania especially the southern Serengeti where the wildebeest "calve" their young. Yes, it is hot, as from Dec-Mar is summer in East Africa, but rarely humid.

If thinking Feb 08, there's little, if any space, available. This period of time has been booked for months now.

Sandi is spot on its peak time down south however try Ndutu Lodge and my favourite Nomad Safaris, they have an excellent operation. If they have space then its well worth it.

February is a great time, as well. When I was in Tanzania in February 2005, they were having a heat wave (over 100 degrees in the Serengeti.) At the end of our trip, thunderstorms moved through, cooling it off a bit. Have a good, wide-brimmed hat for the tropical sun.

I so appreciate all your input. It provided confidence to go for it.
I am booked for Feb 2nd with OAT'S Serengeti Safari! This has been a truly long desired adventure.

Thank you
