tour to Caesarea and Akko
I had posted this previously, but it is not being displayed correctly, so I am reposting:
Many companies provide a 1-day excursion tour to Haifa and the ruins at Caesarea and Akko. I would like to take this tour. But although I've found many companies providing this tour, all of them provide it only on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. I am having a problem fitting this into my schedule.
Do you know of any companies that offer this tour on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays?

We just came back from Israel and went to Caesarea and Akko.
Caesarea is really a half day tour, but I would spend a day in Akko, or do Akko and Haifa in the same day.
As aby said, you could really do them by yourself with a descent guide book.
I would recommend the Crusaders Restaurant in Caesarea and any place in Akko for humus and falafel.

In answer to the question about going myself: I will not have a car, and will have only one day.
Without a car, and with time limitations, going with a tour would be a good way to see all of these places (Haifa, Akko, Caesarea).
I am still trying to find a company providing this tour on days other than Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Other than renting a car yourself on a day that the tours aren't offered, try negociating with an independent taxi driver, most of whom speak English, or contact EGGED TOURS for either private or public transport. Also, take a tour book with maps with you as there is much to see.
