Too Late for Safaria for August '06?

So, I'm looking to go on a safari this August but just recently (i.e. 2 weeks ago) made this decision. I'm still working on convincing my fiance of how amazing a trip to Africa would be.

Before I commit too much time to research on safaris, is it feasible for me to be able to plan a trip in what I am now finding out seems to be a short period of time?

I think it could be done, but depending on where you would like to go, you might not get your first or even second choice of lodging. Contact an operator and see what's available...it will be an amazing trip both you and your fiance will enjoy!

Could be done? Can be done for sure! It's just that if you leave it late the most poppular places may be full.

It is true many posters on this board plan long in advance but keep in mind they/we here are planning the next trip from the moment the plane leaves African earth. It's all right to be normal ;)

Birdie79:

We just booked last week our trip for August and got in the best places in Kenya. I suggest you very quickly contact Sandi at African Serendipity here in the U.S. Benjamin at Southern Cross Safaris in Mombasa, and Serah at Eastern and Southern Safaris in Nairobi.

They should give you some competitive quotes for Kenya at least.

Good luck

Yeah, right, right up until the 1st safari, then... Whammo! The safari bug strikes again and chalks up one more safariholic! :D
