Tom (cary999) - need index help please?
Hi Tom-
Can you point me in the direction of your trip report from Oct 06, I thought I printed it, but cannot find! I am at the moment up to Oct/Nov/Dec 06 in the index and I had thought that you were in there somewhere. |
Here is a link.
ttp://fodors.com/forums/threadselect.jsp?fid=4&tid=35016274 But Tom, can you state your quote on taking photos again. Something like a professional does this and an amateur does that? |
Thanks, Lynne. I thought they went to South Africa & Kenya in or around Oct 06, maybe I am thinking of someone else? Maybe it was Bill and Carolyn (BillH) ?

Thanks Carla, that's the the one I was remembering!

As they say in SA (which I love) "pleasure" Lynda :D

Hi All,
Glad you got it figured out for me :-) The photos referred to in that 06 report are no longer at Kodak gallery. At my Smugmug gallery - http://tomgraham.smugmug.com/ Lynn perhaps it was - A photographer who worries about equipment is an amateur, a photographer who worries about money is a professional, and a photographer who worries about light is a photographer. My other most favorite saying is - in photography lighting isn't the only thing, it is everything. regards and pleasure- tom |
Thanks Tom, that is good information on the photo change, I'll make sure it shows correct in the index, it might be a good idea to post that on the bottom of your trip report too ????
Loved your saying on photographers, and as I will have to fix up quite a few of my photos for 'shadows' and 'high;ights', I know where I belong! There are only two things I know how to do on photoshop so far, and that is lighten up my pictures and crop them! |
That's the quote!

Lynda,
Tom's trip report from Sep 2006 is in the index under your Jan 24, 2007 entry. Thanks to you I was able to locate it for someone else just the other day. Is that what you were asking? If not, just ignore me :) |
LyndaS or anyone - good idea to make change to trip report to update my photo location. If I add it/change to original posting as a reply it will bump posting up to top, will it not? But I don't want to bump and confuse people about the date of the posting, being 2006, a year old. They'll be saying - what the . . . . :-)
Is there another way, or not? To add to original without topping? regards - tom |
Patty, I am SO glad you are here to keep me honest! I looked and looked for it yesterday in my word document, which is where I usually post from, and couldn't find it. So, I thought, well, I guess I missed it, although I really thought I had read it. But, you saved the day... thankyou.
Now I just have to figure out why it's not in my word document! Maybe I didn't save it the day I was doing it or something, but I just copied it back from here, so now it's there. My apologies Tom, and I guess I can't fix it in the index, because it's already there! I think it's a good idea to reveive the old thread and post the new photo address. I don't think there's any problem with older threds being revived, it does happen often on this board. There really is no other way to do it and your photos are so good, they need to be seen! |
