Tipping on Safari

Can anyone offer suggestions as to the amount to tip while, or at the end of the safari?
Does one normally tip the guide/driver, and the staff at each lodge/tented camp?
Thanks,

Here's a recent thread about tipping.

There have been numerous threads on this topic in the past so a search will get you to most.

My own experience regarding the staff tip box is it's probably best to ask at the front desk who the tip box is shared with. In one of the camps the waiter and room steward/housekeeper were not included in the tip box.

In other camps all except the guide/driver split the tip box.

Rule of thumb for me 10/15% of cost of service

USD crisp small bills no tears directly in the hands

of service provider to do the most good.

On our trip to Tanzania we tipped the guides $20 per day and put $10 per day in the camp tip jar.
