Tiberias and Jerusalem

I'll be in Israel for two weeks with a group of pastors. We'll be in Tiberias one week, and in Jerusalem one week. We'll be seeing a lot of the historical sites, but will also have one free day in each city. So I'm just wondering if there are any off the beaten path or don't miss suggestions that you might have for me in either place. Thanks!

Although I'm not an expert, for Jerusalem I'd suggest walking through a couple of nice/interesting neighborhoods. I took the advice of some experts on my recent trip and really enjoyed Emek Rafai’im street in the German Colony and Mishkenot Sha’ananim.

My trip report is here, for what it's worth:

Jim, thanks for the ideas, and for your great trip report. I really enjoyed reading it!

Jim, sorry, I was just in a hurry, but what I wanted to say about your trip report is that it I think that it will help to prepare me for the haphazardness of things in Israel. The waiting for customs, the traffic, etc. I don't think that I'd been seeing that side of things very clearly. By the way, one book that I read talks about how people just walk right towards you. It's by a woman who lives there, and she says that the only answer for it is to hold out a piece of pizza in front of you, and the crowd will part!

Thanks Cindy.

Funny about the pizza. I wonder if it works to put a pizza on the hood of your car too.
