barefootbeach- I know it is a long way from the north to the south, but we really, really liked the city of Fes -- probably more than Marrakech, so I would probably try and keep that in. If you can work out the timing, the flight from Fes to Marrakech is under an hour and very inexpensive. The train was also an easy way to go. I would probably just bite the bullet and catch an early 6 or 7am train. I also strongly suggest visiting the desert, unless you have been to the Sahara or other true desert. It really was a bucket list item for me, even though we have been to the high desert in Chile and the desert here in the US. The Sahara is just magical. In Marrakech, we preferred the area around L'Hotel -- we kept winding up over there even when we were staying near the Bahia Palace area. I am not sure that I will write up the Azores as we only stayed on one island and just fell in love with it. You can message me if you have specific questions.

Wow. thank you so much for putting in the time and effort topmost this TR.
Now you have me itching to go to Morocco though for us it would less adventurous. No hikes in the desert, etc. However the cities seem very interesting and worth seeing. I would love just to wander the markets, see the historical buildings and have nice ethnic dinners.
All the best, Larry.
