Better yet, we can go at the same time and meet on the Mara!

You are a peach. I knew I liked you, thanks. When is it that you plan on being on the Mara? I feel too foolish to be planning anything right now.
'Twould be nice. Liz

Maria's absolutely right - you only posted because I prodded!

Also, I think we talked above about how it wasn't a case of their policy being unreasonable but just sad that their attitude in terms of goodwill wasn't as good as it might have been.

I too am sad that you missed that trip but know that there are many more experiences for you to savour in your lifetime and I hope to be your friend for all that time so I can listen to your dreams and share your reports.

You know, I hope, that as long as there is a breath left in me, you will be my friend. I just felt badly that I brought a saddness to the board and you all are so uplifting to me that it just bothered me.
I've missed your inspiration while I was off mulling over things, so now I'm back and will enjoy catching up. Take care all. Liz

I don't usually post very much, but I felt a need to in this case. I agree with the others. It took great courage to re-think and re-post. Not many people do that!! Don't be too hard on yourself.
If I remember correctly, you had planned a wonderful trip, which involved a great deal of money. I understand. My wife and I planned to go to Botswana on April 30. With the world situation the way it is and with all the money that I was going to shell out, I had some second thoughts as well. However, I called Bert, and he reassured me. So the trip is still on. I'm just sorry things didn't work out for you.
I think you and I traded posts some time back, and I was looking forward to reading your trip reports before I left(that was when we were leaving in late May). Again, I'm sorry for your loss, but (and I mean this) life usually has a way of working out.

Thank you Joey-
Yes I remember your trip. I appreciate your and the other encouraging comments here. What bothered me wasn't that I covered the subject, rather I had harbored resentment toward WS and Bert that were not right. My reaction blamed people who did everything they could to help me and hopefully that didn't come across. I felt it and read it into the posts and felt ashamed. I am very regretful for not trusting Bert more, I thought I was right and in fact he was right on. So as much as anything I didn't want any feelings here that somehow I thought I should have been accomodated more. Apparently people didn't see that and I am glad for that. Now Joey, I envy you that you are going ahead with your trip and I don't know if I will be able to read your trip report, but I know I will be missing the trip of a lifetime. Have a wonderful time and experience every minute you are there. Take a lot of deep breaths and taste the air for me. Liz
