Upon reading Johan's last post re the Richard du Toit book, I immediately looked it up on Amazon.com. I discovered there a number of du Toit books and (a)I'm now not sure which one or ones I should order and (b) I commend all of you to read the review of the Images from a Timeless Wilderness. This book is currently unavailable from Amazon but I can't wait to be able to get it. It sounds like Johan learned his lessons well from a real master -- and became a master himself.

Hi Johan,

Another fantastic set of pictures!!! (I see you came right with the D200 after all)

It seems as if the trip has surpassed your expectations, both in terms of general game viewing and special sightings.

Obviously the private vehicle paid off as well, good decision.

Mala Mala was also very productive for you as well. We had a lecture at our photography club in Johannesburg last week by Gerald Hindes (the author of a number of wildlife photography books) when he started out he was fortunate enough to spend 9 (Yes NINE) months at Mala Mala photographing Leopards, what a lucky guy.

All the best

Maurice
