Electricity Sockets at CCAfrica camps
This message is particularly for Ilee and uhoh_busted.
Can either of you remember what the electricity sockets were like at the 3 Botswana CCAfrica lodges. - i.e 3 pin or 2 pin and round or square.
I'm having last minute panics - 40 hours to go!!!
Thanks,
Ruth

There is a South African adaptor that is different from the "standard" European 3 pin adaptor -- they are bigger. However the camps had an adaptor which had a spot on the side for the two-pin Euro plugs and we used that one (from our kit) to plug in our American appliances (well, a rechargeable electric razor and the battery recharger, anyway.) They both supplied hairdryers, so you need not worry about toting one around.

The toiletries provided are really wonderful, but if your hair needs separate conditioner (I can get by for a week with combined shampoo/conditioner -- which is what is provided) you may want to bring a small bottle of conditioner. Otherwise, don't waste valuable space in your bags. They also provided insect repellent (which we actually didn't need..and we had brought too much of ourselves) and "Doom" to dispatch any creepy crawley that might show up (again, not a problem!). Just trying to think of what I wouldn't pack if I did it all over!
