The Elephants of Mfuwe Lodge

A friend sent me some pictures of The Elephants of Mfuwe Lodge and I thought I'd share them. They look very well behaved at the registration desk.

Quite the phenomenon.

This does not occur regularly as the article suggests but when the fruit is in season, generally November.

Those photos come straight off The Bush Camp Companies website and do not appear to be properly credited as requested

I'll be there mid-October so probably too early but I hope to get lucky and see some visitors.

I love the photos... I think I'd love to see this in person, but... I wonder what the elephants think of this. Is this harmful to them in any way (or a disaster waiting to happen?)? PB, I hope you get to see them, and I will be interested to know what you think about how this impacts the animals.

Interesting now, but looks like a tragedy in the making.
