The best site for Tanzanian Lodges
I'm not sure if you've seen this site yet, but I think it's the best overview of Tanzanian Lodges. Plus it includes video of most of them:
http://www.tanzaniaodyssey.com/all_l...all_lodges.htm |
Videos are helpful but most of the rates are very wrong.
Rates differ widely between seasons and should be noted. For example, Arusha Coffee Lodge is not $100 per night. Swala Game Package is certainly not $590 per person! |
Rates are not only incorrect, but do not take into account group rates, seasonal rate fluctuations, etc etc. Rack rates almost never adhered to, as most business comes through safari outfitters, and not booked directly.
$.02 |
Well okay, the prices will always fluctuate, but at least it has a good list of the lodges, plus video to give you a feel for what they look like!

Serengeti,
That is a great site. Does anyone know of an 'equivalent' site for accommodations in Kenya? |
Simbakubwa,
AfricanMecca has both Kenyan and Tanzanian lodges and camp, and there are some videos: http://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/africalodges.asp |
The same agency now has some videos of safari and beach accomodations in Kenya http://tinyurl.com/2b5au8

I have just seen this post - the video page referred to has changed to http://www.tanzaniaodyssey.com/video...ssey-video.htm
and for those trying to get an idea of what lodges and locations actually look like we beleive this is a great resource |
