bxzhit,

You are most welcome.

Additionally, here is the link to a nice map of South Luangwa. For much better detail, once you are on this page, just click on the South Luangwa portion of the map (as opposed to the North Luangwa portion of the map) and you will see the entire inhabited parts of South Luangwa.

You will notice that Luamfwa is in the very south of the park and that Tafika is in the very north of the park. In case you are wondering where Luangwa River Lodge is, it will be roughly located between Mfuwe Lodge and Flatdogs Camp, just on the opposite side of the lagoon from Mfuwe Lodge, but actually about a mile north of Flatdogs instead of directly en route to Flatdogs. It is a very game rich area and is worth the tradeoff of being in an area with quite a few lodges. By combining your South Luangwa stay with Luangwa River Lodge and either Tafika, Kaingo or Luamfwa, you are sure to also get a sense of remoteness, as well.

Take care.

bxzhit,

Thought you may like these newsletters with photos that display what the Lower Zambezi is like in each August and September.

Although these newsletters are all from Chiawa Camp, Kasaka River Lodge should enjoy similar action and is $200 per person less expensive per night. Plus, as fabulous as Chiawa looks, I have seen mixed reviews on the place.

Thank you again. Just started contacting lodges. Let's see if they are available in August.
