Most enjoyable travel piece I've seen in awhile. Travel is all about getting out and finding out what you don't know. This tackled that goal (and the preconceptions behind the story) head on.

well done, 5alive - well worth drawing attention to this excellent and dare one say brave article by Fodors.

I think living in Haiti or El Salvador, etc. is "sh--" for those people. It doesn't mean that the people themselves are "sh--".

These SH---- ho countries actually look far much better than the west, naturally.
