Telouet Kasbah
Kasbah of the Glaouis.
I strongly recommend turning off the highway from Marrakesh to Ouarzazate,(a few kilometers after the Tizi n'Tichka pass), to stop in the tiny village of Telouet and visit the great Kasbah of the Glaouis. The Glaoui Kasbah is as impressive as the famous nearby Ait-Benhaddou Kasbah in providing a wonderful glimpse into Morocco's fascinating past. Both are classic mud built kasbahs, but Glaouis Kasbah is more extravagantly decorated in it's impressive Andalusian-style interior, but least preserved than Ait Benhaddou. Go see it before one heavy rainfall and it starts to dissolve.
