Tel Aviv beaches

How's the water and swimming in the Medi during late April along the beaches of Tel Aviv? Are the beaches patrolled by life guards? Is the water temperature suitable for bathing?

Late April can definitely be swimming weather. Water is cooler than in the summer but not cold. Unless you are from Florida or a place like that where water is always hot you will find it comfortable. I do not know if all the beaches have lifeguards in April, but some have lifeguards all year round. You will definitely be able to swim--just make sure you do it in a guarded beach.

Tel Aviv's beaches are alwaysvery well maintained. Lifeguards are situated on every beach (not sure if late April is lifeguard season yet though).

When it comes to water temperature, there's absolutely no problem. Water at worst will be mildly chilled, but not cold at all.

Definitely bring your bathing suits, and dedicate at least a half a day for the Tel Aviv's beach experience.
