Tanzanian Tour Operators

I am a solo traveler trying to put together a trip to Ruaha National Park next May. Does anyone have any recommendations for tour operators who are based perhaps in Dar, who could help me plan something?

Thanks so much

Normally for a solo traveller, it's most cost effective to fly in and stay at one of the all inclusive camps. For the lowest single supplements I'd suggest Mwagusi or Mdonya. Unfortunately, in April and May almost all camps in Ruaha are closed and Coastal Aviation, the main airline serving the park does not fly.

The only camp in the park I know of that is open is Ruaha River Lodge (Foxes), and they do have their own planes for access. I think Kichaka Expeditions also operate but I doubt this is a cost effective option for a solo (especially without Coastal flights).

For fly in safaris, you would probably get best pricing using an operator that sends the most guests to camps, and those are not necessarily Tanzanian operators. I use Expert Africa in the UK. However, if you want to go in May, Foxes is your only option so you could go direct to them.
