I have spent the past 9 days out in the Serengeti, and we have had daily rains for the past 5 days straight. No more dust. The same can be said for Ngoronogor. Lake Magadi in the crater was bone dry 2 weeks ago, and now has a decent amount of water.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Andy. It is still a few weeks before we will actually be there & know very well that anything can happen in that time but I appreciate your update.

I checked the link and it's not accurate:

You have to click on to Ostafrika followed by Tanzania

Sorry but obviously the appropriate link directing to TZ can not be copied.

Thanks all. I have been looking at the wunderground site for Arusha & was also interested to hear any news from the Serengeti area.

Thanks J

In my experience (2 grains of salt, please) Arusha weather and Serengeti / NCA weather are not related very often. So if it is raining one place it has little bearing on the other.

Oh Andy I totally agree that is why I asked for feedback from someone on the ground & mentioned Serengeti. Your answer was perfect for me!

Thanks J
